Households now spend around 10% of their electricity bill on standby power. The energy saving trust estimates around €40-50 of energy is wasted on standby in an average household. And independent tests confirm that using 3 Bye Bye Standby® devices could save around €40-60 per year. This also translates also into a total of 160kg savings of CO2 per average house!

Bye Bye Standby is a device that connects between the wall socket and an appliance which consumes energy unnecessarily. This could be an appliance with a standby mode, such as a TV, or an appliance which could be switched off when not in use, such as a printer or wireless router.

The BBSB device allows the user to have easy control over all these types of appliances. When they no longer need to use these appliances, such as when they are out or asleep, a single button can be pressed which physically disconnects the wasteful appliance so it no longer consumes energy. Pressing the button again reconnects all the appliances.

Energy Saver Kit

The Bye Bye Standby Energy Saving Kit includes three smart sockets, which can control up to four electrical devices each, and one remote control. Bye Bye Standby is plugged into a wall socket and then the appliance or extension lead plugged into that. Each device can be switched off separately or as a group when leaving the room - pressing the remote button again instantly switches them back on.

Motion Sensor

This PIR (Passive Infrared) Motion sensor can be used in conjunction with the Bye Bye Standby® Smart Sockets to give appliance control through motion detection.
